Every Saturday morning the high school teens preparing to go to Notre Dame this summer for the ND Vision retreat gather at the Seminole High School parking lot to get their assignments from Chip Caruana for their spring cleaning chores. Each Saturday 3 teams of teens go out to clean garages, do light housework, and yard work. They go their separate ways with a map in hand accompanied by a supervising adult. At the end of the 4th Saturday the teens have done more than a dozen jobs!
"We're still getting phone calls almost every day to schedule the teens to come work. The response has been amazing!" said Chip Caruana,
"The kids did a good job," reports Mike Nasco whose wife, Diane, scheduled the teens to come clean their garage.

"Everything went well. We actually would like the teens to come back again in two weeks to do some more," Evelyn Crot said after the teens did weeding in her yard.
The High School Ministry will continue these Spring Cleaning Days well into the summer. If you have a need that the teens can fill and wish to help them get to Notre Dame, call Chip Caruana (husband of Vicki Caruana, the director of high school ministry) at 385-6829 to schedule your Saturday.
When asked what she has gotten out of these Spring Cleaning Days, Lauren LaLuzerne, just finishing her junior in high school, said, "I've loved getting to help out the parishioners and getting to know them more. Spending time helping others has made the weekends definitely worth it."
